David Lucchino

Mr. David L. Lucchino is a Co-Founder of Frequency Therapeutics, Inc. and serves as its Chief Executive Officer and President. Mr. Lucchino has over 20 years of entrepreneurial experience and has played an integral role in launching, building and operating many successful companies in the life sciences and other innovation sectors. Previously, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Entrega Bio, a PureTech Health (UK:PRTC) company developing an innovative capsule technology to make injectable substances available orally. He served as a Vice President of Sustain Technology at Teleflex Medical, Inc. Mr. Lucchino is an Entrepreneur in Residence at The Venture Development Center at UMass Boston. He served as a Vice President of Semprus BioSciences Corp. Mr. Lucchino co-founded Semprus BioSciences Corp. in 2007 and served as its Chief Executive Officer and President. Mr. Lucchino founded LaunchCyte LLC and served as its Managing Director. He also co-led a disruptive technology consulting project for Boston Scientific. Prior to Semprus, Mr. Lucchino served as a Senior Associate of Polaris Partners, where he was responsible for deal-sourcing and originating and the execution of Polaris’ investment in Athletes Performance, a leading training facility for NFL, MLB, NHL and NBA professional athletes. He serves as a Director of AdvaMed (formerly, Advanced Medical Technology Association), Massachusetts Biotechnology Council and Semprus BioSciences Corp. He serves as Vice Chairman of MassBio. He serves as a Director of Frequency Therapeutics, Inc. He has been a Director of Lipella Pharmaceuticals Inc. since September 3, 2013. He serves as a Trustee of Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, a Harvard Medical School teaching facility. He serves as a Board Member of Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. He was honored by the Boston Business Journal in 2008 as one of the regions “40 under Forty“ leading executives. Mr. Lucchino holds an MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Management as an Alfred P. Sloan Fellow, an M.S. from Syracuse University and a B.A. from Denison University.
