David Motley, MBA
During David’s 30 year corporate career, he led strategy formulation for more than 50 businesses with revenue from zero to over $2B. Roles included: VP, GM, VP Corporate Strategy, EVP Marketing Sales and Strategy, Global VP Sales and Marketing, Director of Corporate Investments, and Manager of Engineering and Plant Operations. David’s last two VP, GM roles were with Respironics (acquired by Philips) and Covidien (acquired by Medtronic) followed by a Senior Managing Director role with Headwaters SC (acquired by EY). From 2010 to present, David co-founded 3 enterprises: The BlueTree Venture Fund (www.bluetreeventurefund.com), DLM-WCM, LLC, a real estate development company and MCAPS, LLC, a professional services company focused on Construction Management and IT. His private company experience includes restructuring governance models and boards for entities ranging in size from $50mm to $2.5B. He currently serves on the boards of First National Bank (NYSE: FNB); Koppers (NYSE: KOP); Armada Supply Chain Solutions ($3B privately held company, Lead Director); Forest Devices (venture backed start-up) and, several non-profit entities. David, the Founder of the African American Directors Forum-Pittsburgh, is a Distinguished Alumnus Awardee of the University of Pittsburgh’s Swanson School of Engineering and earned his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
