Mikael Eliasson M.D. Ph.D. has nearly 20 years experience driving strategies that result in healthcare transformation. He has turned ideas into multi-billion dollar businesses and led ground-breaking innovation in drug-device combinations, biomaterial, reverse innovation, digital and big data. He has in-depth experience managing teams across a broad range of disease areas and healthcare industries leading as an “innovation broker” who seeks connections between people and ideas to foster interactions that generate results.
Dr. Eliasson has held senior roles in delivering disruptive innovation at leading companies like General Electric, Novartis and Roche/Genentech. He is currently the Global Head of Innovation, Neuroscience at Roche. Dr. Eliasson received an M.D. and Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences from Johns Hopkins where he was a Pfeiffer Scholar. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College in Biochemical Sciences and was a neurosurgical resident at Boston Children’s and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
